Is it difficult to get into the acting and/or modeling business?

Actually it is easier than you may think. This industry is more active than ever before, with clients seeking fresh new talent every day. It requires diligence, training, and luck. But just as with anything, you will never have a chance at success if you don't at least try. The chance of becoming a super successful model or actor is (of course) extremely slim. But that's true as well for professional sports...and it's still a good idea to play local sports. Getting involved in modeling & acting is also a great way to build self confidence, learn techniques, make new friends, and improve your communication skills...all of which carry lifetime benefits, regardless of your eventual career choice.

What kind of projects do you pursue?

Currently most of our work is on a local level, with an opportunity to be promoted to, and audition for state-wide, Southeast regional, and even National work. Our models have already been featured in tv, billboard, magazine, newspaper, yellow page, and online advertising, as well as national video releases. Plus opportunities to audition for statewide and national television & magazine ads, tv shows, and feature films. Opportunities will continue to present themselves as we continue to grow. We are partnered with BNA Talent Group of Nashville, associated with Jackson Filmhouse, Nashville Film Institute, Tennessee Film Commission,Talent Trek in Nashville and Knoxville, TG Public Image, and work with Los Angeles casting companies Popular Productions and People Farm, New York casting company Left/Right TV, and Casting Networks Inc in New York, San Francisco, Chicago, and LA.

Is there a charge?

There is a $50 agency sign-up which includes:
* your own page on agency website (featuring photos from a one-time required agency photo session @ $150) * promotion to partner agencies, advertising agencies, and casting companies
* possible opportunities to audition for catalog, magazine, tv, and feature film auditions if offered * first option to participate in workshops (workshop charges vary) * and discounted future photo sessions to expand your on-line portfolio [Agency representation is NON-EXCLUSIVE/MOTHER AGENCY allowing you to join other Agencies as well, and includes standard 20% booking fee per job (derived from gross pay) reduced to 5% ad infinitude commission should model move on to national agency.]

What ages are you accepting?

We are currently accepting models of all ages from 6 to 70.* What age and type of model or actor our potential clients are seeking changes from day to day and is dependent upon their needs at that moment.
As a result, all types of models: slim, not-so-slim, tall, short, young, middle-age, and senior, are all acceptable. Remember, when you see a TV show, movie, television ad, magazine ad, or billboard which features anyone from a Grandparent to a Teenager with braces....they are all models and actors! * typically no younger than 6 due to children changing so rapidly at that age.

Will I be a movie star?

No one can ever guarantee project placement . . . as clients are the ones who select the models/actors they wish to use. And to be fair, remember the market we are in, this is not Los Angeles. (Although we do get occasional requests from casting directors all across the country.) The amount of work you have an opportunity to participate in can vary greatly based on your look, age group, and level of experience. This is an entry level opportunity, with more practice than opportunity. As we often say, very few local athletes (for example) will play at the pro level, but it's still a good idea to be involved in local sports. Positively, as the agency grows larger, so will client interest. So encourage others to consider joining us...a larger agency means more opportunities for everyone.

Are there classes available?

We are actively working with Jackson Filmhouse, BNA Talent Group, TG Public Image, as well as other industry instructors, and occasional workshops are available if you choose to learn aspects of the business which interest you. These workshops will vary in attendance fee, from free to $? depending upon the classes offered, length of class, and teacher/coach. These workshops are not required, but are available if you are interested. Models/actors who attend the workshops will increase their knowledge, experience, and obviously grow in the business.
